HOPE is a 501(c)(3) organization. Contributions are tax deductible to the
extent allowed by law.
HOPE is an approved NAP organization, which provides state tax credits as an
incentive for businesses and individuals to contribute directly to HOPE.
Business contributions may be in the form of cash, goods, stock, real estate,
professional services, contracting services, or the rent or lease of HOPE
facilities. Individual contributions are restricted to cash only. In return for
contributions to HOPE, businesses and individuals may receive credits that may
be applied against their state income tax liability.
A business contributing directly to HOPE may receive a state tax credit for
40% of their total contribution. Business donations must be at least $1,000, but
not more than $437,500.
Tax credits may also be available to individuals or married couples that make
cash donations of at least $500 directly to HOPE. The value of the tax credit is
also equal to 40% of the donation.
Example: $1,000 donation x 40% = $400 state tax credit, essentially costing
the donor only $600.
